After protracted discussions and checking in with Mrs G we have come up with something that we know will appeal to Rod, and also appeals to our sense of humour.
Rod ran the group with help and on his own for over 3 decades, he has taken a much deserved retirement from databases, users, and code. We are only here running UKAUG now because of his efforts and determination to see it work. We miss him (well, mostly 😂) and want to say thanks to him, and we hope you do too.
The grand idea is to buy Rod a course to build his own Windsor Chair (we quite like comedy of his retirement present as chair being a chair). There are a couple of courses available and we are waiting for final course dates to be announced but it turns out we can buy him a voucher instead.
So here it is! Please buy 1 or as many as you like contributions – we’ve set a daft target, but if every member chipped in, we’d reach the goal.
